Helen Gorrill will also be showing contemporary drawings that deconstruct the Virgin and female submissiveness, using the female form and biblical text. Gorrill’s visually confrontational works use a striking aesthetic drawing on post-feminist concepts of power and control, and investigating enforcement, reinforcement and reactions to patriarchal society, to display stunning imagery of the female form
